An office-bearer who had launched the exercise last week has now postponed a similar programme scheduled for Monday at a Kandivali school. At Shree Dayanand School in Matunga last Friday, many BJP leaders called anti-CAA protesters traitors and asked the 1,000-odd students aged 9-17 and 40 teachers to “protect the country from them”.

'Shiv Sena workers today assaulted and blackened the face of a Right to Information activist at Latur in Maharashtra's Marathwada region, after he "exposed" an illegal construction case. The activist Mallikarjun Bhaikatti had, through an RTI query, revealed that around 14,000 square feet illegal construction was carried out in a four-storeyed building and boys hostel on the Latur-Nanded road. Mr Bhaikatti had addressed a press conference at Latur yesterday to "expose" the illegal construction, police said.

'Talks on a potential India-Pakistan series were cancelled in Mumbai this morning after activists of the Shiv Sena broke into the office of India's cricket board BCCI just before its chief Shashank Manohar was to meet with his Pakistani counterpart Shahryar Khan. The talks will be held in Delhi, said sources. Shiv Sena activists waving placards of "Shahryar Khan, Go Back" crashed through the gates of the office in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium that serves as the headquarters of the BCCI or the Board for Control of Cricket in India.
